MEET THE FLINTSTONES

BROOKLYN AND LORI WAITING FOR OUR PARTY GUESTS TO ARRIVE.

Dear Kurt,

A successful Halloween is coming to a close.

Halloween is always loads of fun.

On Friday I took Brooklyn to Melaluca's main office for some trick or treating. The decorations there were awesome. I was really impressed. And they didn't even mind when Brooklyn stole a sheep from the "How to train Your Dragon" part.

Later that night we joined Jedd, Jill and Jaxton at their ward trunk or treat. They had a huge turn out and even though we were super late (never wake a sleeping baby, even if it's for candy) we still got a lot of candy.

Yesterday we did a little trunk or treating at the elementary school down the street for our ward and then had a little costume party at our house with a bunch of good friends.

We were the Flintstones this Halloween. We borrowed Brooklyn's Pebbles costume from your mom and then I made your costume and mine. We were a hit.

The party was chill. We ate a lot of food and candy. We played a lot of games until it got late. Then we sat around and talked until it got even later....

ON THE WAY TO VISIT GREAT-GRANDPA KILLIAN ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

Today we went and showed off our costumes to your grandparents and then had dinner at your parents.

I do love a long Halloween weekend filled with costumes and candy and friends and candy and games and candy and candy and candy.

Sincerely, Wilma Flintstone

BOO AT THE ZOO

Dear Brooklyn,

Tonight we went to Boo at the Zoo!

BROOKLYN ON THE STAGE AT BOO AT THE ZOO.

We went with Jill and Jedd and Jaxton. It was fun! We got candy and saw the animals and almost placed in the costume contest!

You were a little punk rocker. Everyone commented on how cute you were as we walked around the zoo. You were definitely the cutest thing there, in my opinion.

I'm glad we went and got to show off how cute you are!

BROOKLYN AND I STOPPED TO CHECK OUT THE OSTRICHES.

It was a good start to celebrating your second Halloween!

ALL GEARED UP

Dear Brooklyn,

It's getting cold here in Idaho. Really cold. In fact, there were tiny little snowflakes floating around outside when I looked out the front window.

So, with the house heated to 73 degrees and your skirt and leggings tossed to one corner of the house because you moved too much when I changed your diaper that I didn't bother putting them back on, I got you all geared up in your new winter hat and gloves and we looked out the back door.

And that might be as close as you get to being outside this winter. Except for when we are building huge snowmen and sledding at grandma and grandpas place in Swan Valley.

Mostly because you can't talk much so I can only assume that you are like your mother and don't like the cold and the snow and the wind so I have to keep you inside because that is what a good mother should do.

Sincerely, your extremely "good" mother

A SCENE FROM OUR LIFE

Dear Kurt,

Here is a small scene from our life:

1. Your basketball shoes. Which means you probably actually woke up and 5 am to go play basketball. I couldn't know for sure because I am only up at that time if my baby is screaming.

2. Where the doorstop should be. Brooklyn has unscrewed all of them in the whole house. Who knows where they are now.

3. Starfish I used for my final Graphic Design project in school. It usually has two friends with it but Brooklyn likes to take them.

4. My vase bought for 2 bucks then painted and glued stones all over. I get lots of compliments on it.

5. Baby powder I borrowed from a friend when Brooklyn had that really bad diaper rash. One day it might make it back to her.

6. A book I made at college in a book making class. I've been meaning to sketch in it....

7. Proof that almost two years in a house doesn't mean it's finished.

8. A reminder that Brooklyn is a very good baby and doesn't try to unplug everything... yet. Also a reminder that maybe an entertainment center should be on the "to buy someday" list.

Sincerely, Lori

IN A BIT OF A FUNK

Dear Kurt,

Lately I've been in a bit of a funk.

The dishes are stacked up in and around the sink, the laundry is in piles all over our room, I don't even know if I've gotten out of my pjs in days!

All I do is lay on the floor and cuddle with Brooklyn and read her books.

I need you to knock me out of this funk or we might need a maid service to come in and save our house....

Sincerely, Lori

A FIRE FOR TWO

Dear Kurt,

Tonight we had a little fire for two.

We just snuggled in a lawn chair and talked while a tiny little fire that we couldn't even feel the heat from burned away.

It was perfect.

Sincerely, Lori

A VISIT FROM SOME OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE

DAD, CHRISTINA, MOM, KURT AND BROOKLYN IN YELLOWSTONE

Dear Mom, Dad, and Christina

Thanks for coming to visit!

BROOKLYN AND DAD HANGING OUT

I loved every second of it. I wish so bad that we all lived much closer.

BROOKLYN DIDN'T STAY IN HER STROLLER FOR TOO LONG. CAN YOU TELL SHE WANTS OUT?

Yellowstone was AmAZinG! I loved that wildlife and the geysers and the waterfalls and all the vistas. I'm glad we got two spend two whole days enjoying the park.

WE COULD BE IN THE PICTURES IN THE MUSEUM WARNING PEOPLE NOT TO GET TOO CLOSE THE THE WILDLIFE BECAUSE THEY COULD CHARGE WITHOUT WARNING.... OOPS.

DAD HOLDING THE TINY LITTLE BUFFALO WE SAW. HE HE.

The other days of your trip here were filled with fishing, pranking, working on puzzles, eating, hanging out, playing games, shopping, playing with Brooklyn, and just enjoying each other.

BROOKLYN LOVED PLAYING IN THE DIRT AND PILING IT UP ON GRANDPA'S SHOES.

I'm so glad you all came. I miss you all the time. Thank you for all you did for us while you were here!
