CHRISTINA'S GEOCACHING BIRTHDAY WEEKEND

Dear Christina,

We spent two days camping in Yellowstone and Geocaching.

We went even though everyone was convinced we were crazy to go camping in Yellowstone in a tent. Kurt's grandma even bought us bear spray to take with us. Such worry warts.

On our way there we past a sign that read "rodeo tonight" so we flipped a u-turn and spent the next couple hours battling the rain and wind and watching cowboys getting throw around.

You even participated in a little dance-off. Which you should have won and would have if half the audience wasn't related to that little boy.

The next day we geocached our butts off, seeing a ton of the park while we were at it.

We stopped for lunch at a amazing spot in the river that was down stream from where a hot spring flowed into it.

Later that night we went to our campgrounds campfire where we learned about the history of fire in the park. It was super interesting.

Then fajitas, smores, and singing happy birthday into the night.

The next day we woke up, ate breakfast burritos and we were off for more geocaching.

On the way to Old Faithful, we saw a crowd on the side of the road and we knew what that meant: more wildlife. It was a grizzly bear and we were hooked. I don't know what it is about wildlife in Yellowstone but I can't get enough of it. We saw two bears, four coyotes, and a bunch of buffalo and elk.

The trip was amazing.

Happy birthday!!!

I love you.

Sincerely, Lori

A VISIT FROM SOME OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE

DAD, CHRISTINA, MOM, KURT AND BROOKLYN IN YELLOWSTONE

Dear Mom, Dad, and Christina

Thanks for coming to visit!

BROOKLYN AND DAD HANGING OUT

I loved every second of it. I wish so bad that we all lived much closer.

BROOKLYN DIDN'T STAY IN HER STROLLER FOR TOO LONG. CAN YOU TELL SHE WANTS OUT?

Yellowstone was AmAZinG! I loved that wildlife and the geysers and the waterfalls and all the vistas. I'm glad we got two spend two whole days enjoying the park.

WE COULD BE IN THE PICTURES IN THE MUSEUM WARNING PEOPLE NOT TO GET TOO CLOSE THE THE WILDLIFE BECAUSE THEY COULD CHARGE WITHOUT WARNING.... OOPS.

DAD HOLDING THE TINY LITTLE BUFFALO WE SAW. HE HE.

The other days of your trip here were filled with fishing, pranking, working on puzzles, eating, hanging out, playing games, shopping, playing with Brooklyn, and just enjoying each other.

BROOKLYN LOVED PLAYING IN THE DIRT AND PILING IT UP ON GRANDPA'S SHOES.

I'm so glad you all came. I miss you all the time. Thank you for all you did for us while you were here!

MOM AND DAD HELPING BROOKLYN ON THE HIKE.

I love you all so much!

A STROLL AROUND THE GREENBELT

CHRISTINA, LORI AND BROOKLYN AT THE GREENBELT

Dear Christina,

Today we took a stroll around the Greenbelt.

We first attempted to roller blade around the Greenbelt but my roller blades were super uncomfortable to we opted to just walk.

BROOKLYN DROPPED HER BINKY DOWN THE CLIFF

A ton of people were there feeding the ducks. They brought whole loaves of bread. We had froot loops.... needless to say none of the ducks came to us.

It was a nice walk.

Sincerely, Lori

INDECISIVE

Dear Christina,

I'm so glad you are coming this weekend because I am in the middle of a crisis and need your help.

Don't worry it is just a fabric crisis, meaning I have literally been searching the local stores and Internet for hours looking for the perfect fabric to cover my new chair in and I have been mostly disappointed.

Today I ordered more fabric samples online (you can never trust the colors you see on your computer.) Hopefully you will be of some help in choosing my perfect chair fabric cause every time I ask Kurt what he thinks he says "yeah, I like that one too." Grrrr. If only he was a girl. But that would be creepy and weird so I retract that statement and say "If only the fabric stores carried all the fabric I love at a fraction of the price I'm finding them online for."

Ok. So here are the ones I like and ordered samples of. I want a fabric with a large pattern, which some of them have and some don't, and I would prefer a grass green to a lime green.

Lets focus on pattern for now and next week when the rest of my samples come then we can decide on color. (I might just order all of them....)

What do you say? Are you willing to help your indecisive sister?

I hope so.

Sincerely, Lori
