NEW YEARS EVE FUN

Dear Brooklyn,

We wanted our last day of 2012 to be fun.

And what's more fun then jumping around on lots of trampolines?

Not much.

So we headed over to iJump for the afternoon.

You LOVED it. Your dad and I loved it too.

We jumped around, raced up the sides of the trampolines, buried ourselves in piles of foam blocks, did flips, threw balls, built foam walls, and had tons of fun.

It's something we are going to have to do again in 2013.

Sincerely, Lori

NEW HAIR

Dear Kurt,

I have new hair!

I cut five inches off. That's kind of a big deal.

Aaaaannnnddd.... I dyed it. Twice. Dark on top. Light on the bottom. Also, a big deal since I've never dyed my hair before.

Now that I'm use to it, I feel like a new person.

And I love it!

Do you love it?

Sincerely, Lori

CHRISTMAS EVE

Dear Brooklyn,

Snow!

It finally snowed. Like, REALLY snowed.

So, with every ounce of warm clothing we own, we headed to swan valley for some Christmas Eve fun in the snow.

Sledding, shooting (you didn't get to do this one, though), attempts at snowman building, snowball fights and more.

With a few breaks to defrost and eat.

It was lots of fun and I hardly even minded the fact that my toes were still tingling in frozeness when we got home.

Now, off to bed you go. Tomorrow in Christmas and Santa will only come if you close your eyes and think happy thoughts.

I love you, little one.

Sincerely, Lori

Dear Molly,

Today you turn six months old and I am celebrating your rolls.

They are one of my favorite things about you.

I just can't get enough.

Thanks for being my chubby little baby.

I love you.

DECK THE HALLS

Dear Brooklyn,

Getting geared up for Christmas is so much fun with you around.

I loved seeing you light up when we told you we were decorating the Christmas tree.

And I loved your little happy dance when dad was hanging Christmas lights around the house.

I have a feeling that your Christmas spirit may make this the best Christmas I have ever had.

Thank you for that.

I love you.

Sincerely, Lori

CHRISTMAS TREE HUNTING

Dear Kurt,

There's just something about getting all decked out in our winter gear...

and then driving up to the mountains...

in the mist of all the snow and loved ones...

and looking high and low...

and stopping to play...

and maybe sneak a kiss or two...

and eventually finding a tree...

a beautiful Christmas tree...

that we get to chop down...

and take home for our very own.

Sincerely, Lori
