PANCAKES

Dear Kurt

We didn't know that today was National Pancake Day until we watched the 10 o'clock news so tomorrow we will eat lots of pancakes to make up for it.

We will eat buttermilk pancakes, german pancakes, and swedish pancakes.

Yum. I can't wait.

Sincerely, Lori

TASMANIAN DEVIL

Dear Brooklyn,

Your "tummy time" started off like this:

You were happy and playing. Then you got mad and less then three minutes later you were like this:

You are like a tasmanian devil. You get mad and you start spinning.

You should really look into rolling instead...

Sincerely, Lori

ATTENTION EVERYONE

Dear Everyone,

My husband is hot.

And amazing.

Be jealous.

FOOD POISONING

Dear Kurt,

Do you think I have food poisoning?

I woke at 2 in the morning and my stomach and chest hurt so bad that I couldn't go back to sleep. The whole time I thought I was going to have to run to the bathroom and throw up.

Three years ago I had food poisoning and this was how I felt. So all night long I thought "this is definitely food poisoning."

It's now 3:00 p.m. and I haven't thrown up... weird for food poisoning, right? Right. Last time I had food poisoning I threw up dozens of times within the first 24 hours.

Then I got to thinking "could I be pregnant?"

I have been counting and re-counting the days. No. I couldn't be pregnant. Could I? I probably wouldn't be feeling sick this soon.... I'm not ready to be pregnant again.

So after much contemplation I have come to this conclusion. I am not pregnant. It's way to early to be sick cause I would have gotten pregnant within the last week.

Phew. What a relief.

Now that that is cleared up - what's wrong with me?

Sincerely, Lori

DADA

Dear Brooklyn,

I love you just they same as I did before you said "Dada" first instead of "Mama." And maybe I even love you more because it is so cute when you say dada dada and it gives me an excuse to hand you to your dad and say "she's asking you to change her diaper."

Just so you know (which I'm sure you do) your daddy loves you soooo much. I love watching the two of you play (and only sometimes having to add "Kurt, do hang her upside down" or "Kurt, don't toss her up that high"). You are the apple of his eye and every time you do something cute or special he looks up with the biggest smile on his face to see if anyone else saw.

He is going to the best dad. He is going to work hard to provide for you, he is going to try his best to teach you right from wrong, he is going to play with you everyday so that you know how loved you are.

I love him.

I love you.

Sincerely, Lori

DAY ONE OF VALENTINE'S DAY

Dear Kurt,

Because you work tomorrow we celebrated a little bit of our Valentine's Day today.

We spent a nice morning just hanging out and cuddling (my favorite). Then we went to see "Valentine's Day" at the movie theatre. It was cute, but we probably won't see it again. I'm glad we opted out of going to a busy restaurant to stay home and cook a nice dinner together.

I kinda agree with the critics when they say Valentine's Day is a "Hallmark holiday" but I will support any day in which I have an excuse to spend the entire day being with you and thinking of you and cheesily expressing my love for you.

And since celebrated today but the real thing is tomorrow I get to celebrate for two days!

So tomorrow be prepared to receive cheesy texts and random phone calls all day long and when you get home I will jump up and down and smother you with kisses and draw little hearts on your arm and have "I love you more" wars all because it's Valentine's Day and I can.

I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you.

Sincerely, Lori

TO THE RESCUE

Dear Kimberly,

Thanks for coming over to help out with Brooklyn since my back was hurting.

If I knew she was going to go to sleep before you got here and then sleep for over four hours then I wouldn't have had you come so soon. But I appreciate it anyways. It was nice to have our "Friday morning date" back, especially since you will only live so close for a couple more months.

I'm glad you were here for Brooklyn's first time saying "da da." It was so cute.

Also, thanks for helping me with my project. You're awesome.

Love you tons. Thanks again for helping.

Sincerely, Lori

MY ACHING BACK

Dear Kurt,

My back hurts. I can't stand up straight. I can't even hold Brooklyn unless I am sitting down.

Tomorrow is going to suck. Brooklyn is sick and will want to be held and walked around sometimes and I won't be able to do it.

I am sad. I hope it goes away soon.

Sincerely, Lori
